New report: Outdated/inefficient communications technology one key reason for White House breach

In September 2014, an armed intruder jumped the White House fence and made his way deep within the building before being tackled by an officer. A new report cites outdated or inefficient communications technology as one key reason for the breach. In addition, emergency response team members didn't immediately go into the White House after the intruder, because they didn't know the building layout.

This case is a perfect example of the need for unified and verifiable emergency communications, along with digital maps and floor plans for fast, mobile situational awareness.
